What is the golden ratio?
Take the Fibonacci sequence: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21... each number is the sum of the two before it. Divide one number by the previous, and the further you go the closer you get to a magic value: φ, roughly 1.618, the golden ratio. Nature loves this proportion. Lay down dots turning by the same angle each time, the golden angle (about 137.5°), and you get exactly how a sunflower packs its seeds. No randomness, just a rule and repetition.
How are these prints generated?
Every work starts from a seed. That seed fixes the parameters (the number of dots, the angle, the density) and the palette, and the same seed always produces exactly the same image, here and everywhere else. Nothing is painted by hand, nothing is retouched: the algorithm computes, the render lands. The seed and parameters are frozen into a fingerprint, so the work can't exist twice. That fingerprint is then signed with a cryptographic key (Ed25519), and the certificate that comes with your print can be verified by anyone, without going through us.
Why a print, not just a wallpaper?
Because a spiral is meant to be seen big. The pattern repeats from the centre out to the edge, every dot counts, and a small screen crushes it. We print at 300 DPI on fine art paper, in several formats. Every print is numbered and ships with its signed certificate. Once an edition sells out, it's gone for good: the work doesn't go back into production.
